Thoughts on AI in Art.

Art, in this day and age, can very easily be inauthentic.
I think you can absolutely appreciate something without unsterstanding it’s composition or origins. But I also believe that process is part of the art.
There is a trust that forms from knowing the authenticity of an artist’s practice.
This is what builds their reputation.

Money is being made from AI art, that is for certain.
But real art is like real food. It provides nutrition to your soul.
You feel it in some way or another.

Maybe the art comforts you or uplifts you- inspires you to be better. Maybe, it brings you to a place in time, to somewhere you've been or dreamed of going. Maybe it brings you closer to someone you love- or it is an expression of love through the image itself or through the art of giving.

Art is here to stay.
It is truly like nutrition for your energy field and for your soul. It brings you somewhere- and if the artist is clear enough - it brings you into the artist’s world or shows you what they see. In my case, a more vibrant world, and a more contemplative world.

AI can be quite helpful. I have begun to use it to generate reference images that I never could have created otherwise. The end result - and the interpretation of the prompted image- is my own. There is intention behind it and brushstrokes on top of it.

I've always struggled to create or find reference images (without feeling like i’m stealing). I used to create my own / use stock images or merge multiple references in my mind to create something cohesive. AI has sped up my process 10x.

AI is a useful tool and will be used more and more as our future unfolds. I want to remain transparent about the use of it so nothing needs to be speculated. I feel inspired and exhausted by it at the same time.
